Frequently Asked Questions

  • Wear something comfortable. You will dress down to your comfort level. For a traditional table massage, most clients undress completely but remain securely covered by a sheet or blanket at all times—only the specific area being worked on is ever uncovered. For specialized or clothed bodywork, loose, comfortable athletic wear is ideal.

  • Not at all. This is your time to unwind. Aside from essential feedback regarding pressure, temperature, or physical pain, you are completely welcome to rest in silence.

  • Yes, please reschedule. Massage during illness is contraindicated and we would not be able to proceed with your session. If you are actively fighting off a cold, fever, or contagious virus, a massage can actually speed up your circulation and make your symptoms feel significantly more intense, while also risking the health of your therapist.

  • Good deep tissue work should never make you hold your breath or tense your muscles to resist the pressure. If it hurts, please let me know so the pressure can be adjusted immediately. The goal is to allow the tissues to release, not to have you power through pain. Doing so will result in a less effective session.

  • It is common to feel mild soreness for 24 to 48 hours after deep or focused bodywork. The physical manipulation triggers a localized inflammatory healing response as your muscles settle into their new alignment. Drinking plenty of water and resting will help it clear quickly.

  • Your session time is reserved exclusively for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice so that someone else may have the opportunity to fill that space. Because your appointment time is held solely for you, cancellations or changes made within 24 hours of your session time, as well as missed appointments, are non-refundable. Thank you for valuing our shared time and commitment to this work.

  • Your session time is reserved entirely for your restoration. Late arrivals within a 15-minute window will receive a modified, shortened session that concludes at its original scheduled time. Out of respect for our calendar and upcoming guests, arrivals later than 15 minutes may not be accommodated and could be accounted for as a missed session.
